Airbus A340

The Airbus A340 is a long range, wide bodied airliner. The largest model can seat up to 440 and it has a range of 17000 km. The A340 is distinguishable as it is one of the only airliners with four engines and no upper deck.

Although the A340 has been successful with 377 planes made the A340 was not very fuel efficient and airlines favoured twin engine planes such as the Boeing 777 or the Airbus A330. In 2011 Airbus announced that they would stop making the A340 although there are over a hundred still flying today.
