The Avro Vulcan is a jet powered Bomber that was capable of dropping the nuclear bomb. The Vulcan was used by Royal Air force from 1956 to 1984 during which it went on a round the world tour and helped win the Falkland’s. In total there were 136 built costing only 750,000 pounds (1231500 dollars) each which isn't much considering the B2 which is one of the most high tech bomber about costs 772 Million dollars each. The Vulcan had no defensive weapons so it relies on it four Rolls Royce Olympus engines to speed away from danger.
The B1 (original model) only had a range of 4171 km which wasn’t very impressive so the RAF upgraded them with Ariel refuelling which  allowed  it to fly 18507 km from England to Australia in just under 20 hours. The Vulcan was well known for its speed and capability of carrying heavy loads.

The Vulcans most famous mission has to be its last where it flew distances it was never designed to fly from England to The Falklands in order to drop Bombs on their main air field. This meant it was harder for the Argentinians to operate and helped Britain win the war. Although the Vulcan was decommissioned in 1984 the legend still lives one as there’s still one flying. The Spirit of Great Britain was restored for air shows. There’s also two kept taxable for demonstrations.
