The Boeing 737 is a
short/medium range airliner which first came to service in the 1960s as a low
cost airliner. There are 9 different models excluding cargo models and
business jets. There have been 7750 delivered and 3467 ordered making it the
most successful aircraft in aviation history.
The new 737-900ER is a bigger
version of the standard 737-900. It can seat up to 215 and Winglets
standard to increase range. According to Boeing there are over 2000 737s in the
air at any one time and one takes off or lands every two seconds.
